It's great to hear about artists who remain pure with their intent by not making it their source of income. This however does not mean that they have all the resources in the world to continue doing their art. This makes crowdsourcing acceptable. We don't want to see poor quality just because the artist does not have enough independent resources. It's better if we continue to support them in every way possible. I have been following a group on the web. It's called "Church of Skin" and they have been conducting sketch parties. They use female subjects in awkward poses. It's really interesting to observe because they also have live music while doing it. It's like a stage play and at the same time it reminds us of old silent films where the musicians needed to play live music while it is being shown. They remind me of your work.
